ABERDEENSHIRE COUNCIL: Coordinator (Out of School Care) Fixed Term
You are experienced in working with children in a supervisory capacity, working as part of a team, supervising staff and co-ordinating the planning and delivery of activities. As well as having good administration skills you also have leadership qualities. An SVQ level III playwork qualification or equivalent desirable.
You will be required to co-ordinate and manage the Out of School Care Service. Duties include providing a secure and fun environment for children, leading and motivating staff and delivering a varied programme of high quality play activities.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where applicable, this post also requires an Overseas Criminal Record Check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
Location: Pitmedden Out of School Club
Hours: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 2pm-6pm

Requirements
To Co-ordinate and manage the Out of School Care Service.
Provide a secure and fun environment for the range of primary children who use it.
To be responsible for the daily management and delivery of service to the community extending a positive environment for users of the club and staff.
The Co-ordinator will lead a team of staff to plan, deliver and evaluate the agreed programme with guidance from a parent advisory committee and within an agreed budget framework.
Responsibilities
Manage the staff in line with current policies. To ensure that the club offers a safe and well resourced environment for users in keeping with National Care Standards as set by The Scottish Executive and implemented by the Care Commission.
Prepare plan and implement a varied programme of activities. Responsible for day to day administration of the out of school care service. To attend meetings and training as appropriate. Provide appropriate information to the parents advisory body.
