Cashier- Lancer at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium - Lancer Hospitality - Tacoma, WA

The Cashier manages cash and credit transactions in a high volume setting for food and beverage products to ensure accurate accounting of items sold.

Assists with food preparation and clean-up as needed before and after serving times. Responds to customer questions and suggestions regarding our menu and service. Must have a commitment to providing exceptional customer service for every customer, every time.

Some experience preferred, overall good math skills, positive customer service attitude, enthusiastic commitment to customer service.

Primary Job Responsibilities: Itemizes and totals purchases by recording prices, departments, taxable and nontaxable items; operating a cash register. Enters price changes by referring to price sheets and special sale bulletins. Discounts purchases by redeeming coupons. Collects payments by accepting cash, check, or charge payments from customers; making change for cash customers.

Verifies credit acceptance by reviewing and recording driver’s license number; operating credit card authorization system. Balances cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of work shift provides pricing information by answering questions.
