Position Title: Area Sales Representative ` South East (Trailers)
Location: Brighton, Canterbury, Guildford, Medway, Portsmouth, Redhill, Southampton, Tonbridge, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Felixstowe, Norwich
Salary: £25,500 ` £30,000 (Dependent on Experience) + Realistic OTE Year 1 of £40-45,000 + Company Car + Phone + Laptop + Communications Package
Summary of Position:
– We are currently recruiting an Area Sales Representative to manage the South East of the UK. Objectives are to defend and retain revenue streams with a view to increase sales.
– Our client manufactures skeletal, curtainsiders, tippers, platforms, machinery carriers and drawbar trailers and a range of specialist trailers, including the innovative sliding bogie trailers.
– This is a mature area so most customers have already been won however there is a 50% element of new business development.
– You will be responsible for managing your territory area and providing trade customers with superior customer service. This will be done via face-to-face visits and by identifying/appointing new partners.
– Working from home, you will be responsible for supplying your own leads as well as following up on leads from the internal sales team working alongside you.
– You will manage the Sales element overall; with the view should it be needed to manage the Aftersales and Parts element of the business.
– The role will involve extensive travel regionally and some national travel therefore the base location is flexible.
– Develop solid working relationships with new and existing clients by continuous networking, and prospecting with key demographic clients in the region.
– Key Account Management and selling/negotiating to central buyers at head-office level.
– Identify new business opportunities with existing and new trade partners/suppliers.
THE APPLICANT:
– Minimum 2 years` of Field Sales, Regional Sales, Area Sales, Business Development experience or alternatively field service engineer experience.
– A proven history of working to and achieving individual sales budgets/targets.
– Experience using a CRM system, Price Lists and Technical Specifications.
– An appreciation of working in an associated industry, this could be:- Tyres, Fork Lift Trucks, Hydraulic Hoses, Tracks, Seats (Cab Care), Under Carriages, Secondary Service/Equipment, Buckets, Couplets, Diggers or Dumpers.
– Ability to attain a trusted advisor status with client contacts at all levels
– Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
– Solid business sense & ability to take initiative.
– Strong analytical problem solving skills.
– Well-developed IT and administration skills (ERP and CRM experience preferable).
– Time management and task prioritisation skills.
– Highly organised, detail oriented with a strong ability to multi-task.
