Due to a last minute maternity request are looking for an outstanding Key Stage 1 teacher to join our hardworking and dedicated staff team. .

From September 2016 we need a class teacher to cover maternity leave in a Year 1 class. This is a temporary position until August 2017, however there is a very high posibility of a permanent contract depending on successful completion and staff changes. A successful candidate would above all be an excellent teacher committed to developing the children’s learning potential. Experience of the demands of preparing children for their SATs tests would also be an advantage.

You would also be expected to have – a good sense of humour – flexibility – a desire to make learning enjoyable – strong self motivation and organisational skills – a sound knowledge of your chosen Key Stage – energy and enthusiasm – strong and effective behavioural management skills – a share in the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Information about the school

Castle Hill is a large two form entry Community Primary School with a Unit for Hearing Impaired children. We also have a large and thriving Nursery and currently have responsibility for running the Children’s Centre in our grounds. The school is situated in an urban area of East Folkestone, on a deceptively large site. Our children are friendly and lively and deserve the very best we can give them.
