GRANGE PARK SCHOOL: Teaching Assistant Teaching/Child Support - Full-time

Pay: Kent Range 3 + SENA


Grange Park School is an autism specific provision for 11 – 19 year olds, located in Borough Green Village, near Wrotham. The school has been accredited for over 8 years by the National Autistic Society (NAS), who highly commended our school.


We are looking to appoint a flexible, organised and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, to join our friendly school from September 2016 until August 2017.


Term time + 5 days (40 weeks per year) 35 hours per week. Kent Range 3 plus a Special Needs Allowance of £1,217 per annum.


The school offers comprehensive training in ASC, exceptional CPD support and development opportunities through our Co-operative Trust of SEN schools.


Currently judged as “Good” by Ofsted, the school is very well placed to becoming Outstanding and is oversubscribed.


Duties will include assisting with the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, deputy head teacher and class teachers. Hours will be 35 per week from 8.00am – 3.30pm, 5 days a week, 40 weeks a year. Actual salary based on qualifications, skills and previous experience.

Information about the school


Grange Park School is a day special school committed to making a difference for 101 pupils aged between 11 and 19 who have an Autism Spectrum Condition and associated learning difficulties.


Class sizes are between 9 -10 pupils with a teacher and 2 teaching assistants.


All staff receive training to improve their understanding and working knowledge of autism.


Grange Park School is fully committed to the protection and safety of its pupils. An enhanced DBS check is required for all staff and will be paid for by the school. All references will be taken up before interview.
