Motor Claims Handler
Barker Munro Recruitment are delighted to be working with this fast growing, dynamic insurance company who are currently looking for Motor Claims Handlers in their motor claims department.
The main job purpose of this role is to be the first point of contact for the policyholder who has suffered a loss following an incident involving their vehicle.
You must be able to obtain the relevant details from them and record this information giving the customer excellent advice and assistance, whilst also assessing liability from the circumstances of the incident. You will then manage the Accidental Damage part of the claims to its conclusion.
As the motor claims handler you will be able to provide advice to the customer on making a claims and the processes involved. You will take reports of new insurance claims the policyholders, or from third parties, credit hire companies, insurers and solicitors whilst recording the information reported concerning the circumstances of the loss.
In addition to the above, you will also be required to identify fault claims and enable rapid, proactive third party intervention. Working on a portfolio of c. 100 AD claims, ensuring that SLA’s are met and the AD aspect of a claims is concluded quickly and at minimum cost.
These are just a few of the duties of the motor claims handler.
To be successful in the above role you will ideally have a minimum of 6 months experience of handling motor claims, although this is not essential as consideration will also be given to candidates who have worked in the motor insurance market or indeed if you have worked in a call centre and delivered telephone customer service.
