REESON EDUCATION: Primary Assistant Head

A fantastic oversubscribed primary school located in the Royal Borough of Greenwich are currently interviewing for an Assistant Head to join their senior leadership team from September 2016. This means that all teachers are entitled to an inner London salary in line with the main and upper pay scales. Feedback from all teachers working at the school have been very positive, it is often said to be a really friendly school with a fantastic community spirit.

As Assistant Head you will be responsible for curriculum. It is mainly a non-classed based role but there will be some teaching commitments however this will be a smaller part of the role.

They place great emphasis on enrichment and run a number of clubs after school each day from dance, to board games to football. They also have a school council, sports leaders and even have their own farm which is a rare find in London. As well as having fantastic facilities and enrichment opportunities They place a great emphasis on the importance of learning and academic achievement. The majority of their results are in line with or above the national average and they continue to improve year on year. They were graded as Good by Ofsted this March and they are noted as being a rapidly improving school which is partly put down to the dedication of their current Headteacher.

Between 2013 and 2014 they expanded significantly from a two form entry to a mixed two and three form entry primary school. There are currently ninety pupils in Reception, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 each have three forms whilst Year 4, 5 and 6 are two form entry but are expanding over the coming years. The school also has a very active nursery with 78 pupils.

This school celebrates both the academic achievement and extra-curricular activity of their well-behaved and courteous pupils in a really friendly environment and is highly regarded by all our teachers, both permanent members of staff and supply teachers who teach there on a day to day basis.
