My Client is a Global Manufacturing Company, firmly committed to manufacturing innovative, high quality cost effective products supplied within Industry.
Over the last couple of years they have embarked on a significant growth plan, resulting in the need for a strong Specification Manager / Area Sales Manager to produce designs, specifications and details to architects, designers and contractors to ensure the Company’s products are specified.

The Role: Specification Manager / Area Sales Manager

To initiate and make contact with architects, designers, main contractors and specialist sub-contractors to positively influence the decisions regarding the selection of materials.
Provide technical expertise and advice to the existing customer base
Develop a close long-term relationship that ensures customers continue/increase levels of business with the Company..
Negotiate project technical terms with sub-contractors.
Identify and make contact with potential customers engaged on target construction projects
Monitor of on-site construction in conjunction with the contractor to provide advice and solutions to problems encountered.
Provide solutions to design problems
Provide technical assistance and training to the sales team
Provide market knowledge to loyal clients in order to increase their business and so enhance our own.
Produce and maintain a Project Tracking database
Secure project wins with specific existing and new target sub-contractors.

Skills / Qualifications / Experience: Specification Manager / Area Sales Manager

Degree qualified in a building discipline.
Able to target and understand the sales route to market for specification sales in order to secure business
Must be able to deliver the ‘Technical Sell’.
High degree of knowledge on all products and systems.
Ability to work well as part of a team or on own initiative.
Computer literate with working knowledge of, Microsoft ‘Word’, ‘PowerPoint’ and ‘Excel’.
