The Trainee Science Teacher Person Specification
Being a lively, personable graduate with a real desire to teach, you will be perfectly suited to take on a school-based Teacher Training program this September! This exciting Bexley Academy are looking to welcome in a Trainee Science Teacher who can offer students a proactive attitude in class, a solid work-ethic, and a voracious appetite to learn and develop alongside some outstanding Science Teachers! The Head Teacher has a very successful support network in place and will be looking to welcome in a graduate with a committed attitude and the necessary “get up and go” to be a successful Science Teacher in future!
The Trainee Science Teacher Role
This Academy is one that has an excellent record of bringing in and developing Trainee Teachers, firstly through Teach First and more recently through Premier Pathways! Working in perhaps the most popular department in the school, you will be working as a Teaching Assistant whilst you acclimatise to your surroundings and the way the school works, and from there you will be gradually moved in to teaching Science lessons dependant on the speed of your progress! As the role incorporates a full PGCE and QTS, get your head down and take on extra lesson planning and responsibility to ensure that you fly through the assessments at the end of the 2-year program!
