AXAPPP healthcare are seeking a talented Principal Data and Information Developer, within our IT Application Technologies business – based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, UK.

What you will be doing
- Provide Technical leadership and strategic focus
– Logical/Physical DB Design techniques structured and unstructured data stores
– ETL processes
– Data Warehouse / Data Mart construction (Dimensional and Tabular) optimising for performance, access and Integration
– Analytics services - Liaise with development teams and Solutions Architects/Consultants turning high-level designs into practical solutions
- Design and Implement Domain Data Warehouses /Data Marts aligned to business processes supporting Data Visualisation services
- Implement a Data depository to support the Enterprise Warehouse
- Manage software build, unit and system testing
- Design and develop standards based on Architectural principles and guidelines
- Identify opportunities for improving methods, processes and use of toolsets
- Support the Enterprise Analytics Architect in developing our MI Strategy providing guidance on selection, configuration of technology and tools (mainly aligned tMicrosoft stack
- Advise on current and emerging technologies (including concepts)
- Contribute to Target Architecture/ IT Strategy
- Manage and coach team members
- Stakeholder management – internal and external customers

Who are we looking for?
You will have at least 10 years IT experience, 5 as a senior/Lead Analyst/developer covering Analysis of business requirements, Data modelling, DB Design and Architecture, Data mining and Multidimensional analysis techniques.
You will be an expert in:
- SQL Server 2012 (2014 highly desirable) and related technologies (CDC, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS)
- Analytics/BI reporting and visualisation tools (e.g. SAS, BOB, MS PowerBI
- Data Warehouse Design
- Database Modelling and design
- Transactional and procedural SQL code and Stored procedure development
- Solid ETL skills (accessing and consuming data from a variety of sources and platforms (flat files, databases, XML, web services, CSV etc.)
- Presentation skills at a senior management level
- Development lifecycles (including Waterfall and Agile)
- Team leading
- Performance tuning
You will have proven knowledge of:
- Real or Near Real time Data Warehousing
- MS Sharepoint
- Machine learning tools
- Cloud (Azure or other)
- Master Data Management concepts and tools
- Big Data concepts and tools (data lakes, NoSQL etc.) any experience with Hadoop, HDInsight or similar a distinct advantage
- Current and emerging technologies and trends
- Working independently setting and achieving goals with minimal supervision
