About the Position The General Manager plans, develops, and establishes policies and objectives of business organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.
Leadership
- Provide leadership to top management and staff to develop and execute operational plans and annual goals that support company strategic initiatives
- Mentor management and staff to ensure a high degree of engagement, efficiency, and career development
- Encourage a team-based collaborative culture that fosters continuous improvement and learning
- Work closely with top management to provide adequate data and information for decision-making; ensure open communication channels throughout the company for efficient operations
- Manage Leadership Team
- Lead compliance of Vision, Mission, and Cultural Values throughout the company
Financial
- Manage revenue and cash flow forecasting by working with the Sales and Accounting departments
- Provide prompt, thorough, and accurate information to keep the company member appropriately informed of the Company’s financial position
- Build and maintain relationships with financial partners which include CPA firms and banks
- Ensure accuracy and compliance in all financial transactions and reporting
- Introduce and manage budgeting and cost review systems
- Monitor and evaluate departmental costs and provide information to managers to enable them to manage and control departmental costs
Sales and Marketing
- Create and implement sales and marketing plans to support business needs and ensure financial goals are met or exceeded
- Lead business development initiatives to match current and future market demands
- Oversee marketing materials to ensure they are effective, accurate, professional, and well received by customers and the industry
- Ensure sales efforts and contract review progress efficiently internally and with prospective customers
- Support the sales team to improve the effectiveness of the overseas sales offices, sales representatives, and distributors
General Operations
- Lead all departments to ensure productivity, efficiency, and continuous improvement in all aspects of business operations
- Ensure that recruitment and performance management processes support company growth, retention and performance goals
- Establish KPIs that drive continuous improvement and operational excellence throughout the organization
- Ensure that quality standards are met or exceeded and implement quality control systems as needed
- Ensure that all departments operate with a high degree of competence and efficiency, and support business goals
- Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures to minimize legal exposure
Education and/or Experience MBA or Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance. Ten years of hands-on finance and operations management.
