This role is specifically designed for those who have a clear and unwavering desire to be a fully qualified teacher and for the top echelon of applicants paid teacher training resulting in UK QTS could be on offer.


As a SEMH Teaching Assistant you must have an absolute desire to work hard and become a qualified teacher – if this is not your ultimate goal please do not apply for this post.


This role is perfect for any ambitious graduate who has achieved or is on track to achieving a 2:1 or 1st Class Honours Degree in their subject of choice. As this is within a SEMH setting (with small groups of particularly challenging students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties) this would suit a particularly thick skinned or mature candidate who understands the difficulties that these students have experienced.


About the Role of SEMH Teaching Assistant – Future Teacher Needed
You will guide SEMH students through the curriculum and you will lead independent 1:1 session and group activities outside of class. Your SEMH Teaching Assistant duties will include supporting the learning of students in classes throughout the school and developing under the mentorship of a SENCO.


Responsibilities of SEMH Teaching Assistant – Future Teacher Needed    
This SEMH Teaching Assistant post requires a hard working graduate who has earned a second class degree or better and previous experience working with SEN children either in a volunteer or paid role. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and no problem staying late to help with after school clubs.
