TEACHER OF DESIGN TECHNOLOGY

Teacher of Design Technology role starting September 2016, permanent position offering MPS and UPS.

Your new company
The school is a non selective 11-18 foundation school with great facilities and is continuously oversubscribed. The school is dedicated to enabling all students to achieve their potential. The school is strong at being innovative and challenging for all of its students. The school based in Thanet, Kent and are located in excellent surrounding.

Your new role
The position will see you teaching ideally Resistant Materials, Graphics and Textiles at Key Stage 3 and also at Key Stage 4 would be Product Design, Resistant Materials and Graphics.
You will be responsible to plan, develop and deliver high quality lessons by using a variety of approaches. The role will involve monitoring student progress that includes assessment outcomes and targets set at intervals with the Academies policies to enable the students to achieve their full potential. Pastoral responsibilities will be expected of all subject teachers.

What you’ll need to succeed
A strong subject knowledge is key to this position and to be a qualified graduate with the ability to teach the subject at all levels. Along with this you will need to set high expectations to inspire and challenge the students. The ability to plan and teach well-structured lessons is a strong requirement and be able to adapt and respond to strengths and needs of all students.

What you’ll get in return
In return you will be offered a salary of either the Main or Upper pay scale dependant of your experience. ALong with this you will receive CPD training.
