The Trainee Teacher Role
As a Trainee Teacher you will be moving across the entire Key Stage 2 phase, working predominantly as a Teaching Assistant as you acclimatise to the school and its philosophy, and then moving in to a .5 and finally .8 Teaching timetable! Mentor groups, constantly adapt your position and perform a roaming function, supporting teaching and learning where it is needed most. As your training moves forward, take on greater responsibility and a greater teaching timetable, all the while with the full support of a pre-assigned school mentor! Once you have the experience under your belt, fly through your PGCE and assessments and earn QTS in style!
