Civil Engineer – Infrastructure
£30,000 – £35,000 per annum plus benefits

A renowned and respected strategic highways infrastructure specialist, known for providing relaxed mature working environments are currently recruiting for an Infrastructure / Civil Engineer to work on public sector / council projects.

Our Client has a portfolio of truly multi-disciplinary projects with a diverse range of utility challenges from land development, complex regeneration and public infrastructure in cities to feasibility assessments.

Due to increasing workloads and major project wins they’re currently seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Engineer/ Assistant Engineer to join the Ashford Civils Team on a permanent basis.

The role holder will have the opportunity to be involved in a range of multi-disciplinary projects ranging from large mixed-use, residential or business development projects through to smaller redevelopment sites.
Key responsibilities / duties include:

* Responsible for technical input and design on land development projects
* Responsible for projects or aspects of projects as civil engineering discipline lead
* Delegating and supervising work of more junior team members
* Mentoring and training more junior team members
* Support the team leader in managing the team’s workload
* Liaison with clients, other professionals and other PBA teams and disciplines on relevant aspects of projects

Capabilities and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a positive and enthusiastic team player, who holds a suitable and relevant Civil Engineering degree, has 3-4 years post graduate experience and is working toward C.Eng or other relevant professional qualification.

The ideal candidates must:

* Have experience in infrastructure design; drainage; roads and streets, utilities etc.
* Have experience of working in a team environment
* Experience on multi-disciplinary projects involving other disciplines (Geo, noise, air quality etc.)
* Knowledge and experience of WINDES and AutoCAD 3D
* Have excellent communication skills
* Be competent with the use of Microsoft Office programs
