Project Manager - Supply Chain - REI - Kent, WA





Your Job Map (the overall purpose

This

job contributes to REI’s success by managing all aspects of a large scale and

complex project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and

within budget. Design, communicate, and implements an operational plan for

completing a project; monitor progress and performance against the project plan ;

resolve operational problems, minimize delays. Able to work

independently, and serves as a resource for colleagues with less

experience. M odels and acts in

accordance with REI’s guiding values and mission.

Your

Planning & Navigating Requirements (the plans the job is responsible for

creating and executing, and how the job ensures they are implemented)

·

Initiates, plans, controls and closes medium to large projects utilizing

REI’s project management methodology.

·

Identified, develops, and gathers necessary resources to complete the

project.

·

Solves complex problems, takes a new perspective using existing

solutions.

·

Plans the project in detail, prepares the design and work

specifications, develops schedules, budgets and forecasts; selects materials,

equipment, project staff, and contractors.

·

Estimates costs, resources, and time required to complete the project.

·

Manages the progress of the project and communicates the project status

to management and stakeholders on a regular basis.

·

Ensures that

overall project documentation is completed, including requirements, designs,

development, testing, implementation, project management documentation and

plans, policies and procedures, new standards, contracts, issues lists and

project status.

·

Provides project

management documentation and reporting at appropriate stages of the project,

including project statement, work breakdown structure (time frames, resources,

costs), detailed plan, project logs, periodic status reports and the project

completion report.

·

Ensures project

quality and success through management of project action items, including

managing issues and the decision process, assessing risks, initiating change

requests, meeting schedule and deadlines for deliverables, financial planning,

and timely completion of project deliverables.

Identifies and

provides recommendations for project management process improvements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain in addition to

5+ years demonstrated experience as a Project Manager or equivalent work

experience. *5+ years’ experience as a Project Manager

concurrently managing multiple small to large cross-divisional projects in a

fast-paced environment.

management methodology. *Ability to manage conflicting priorities and

multiple assignments. *Actively participates and collaborates with

order to support the direction taken by others at REI. *Uses business knowledge, innovative thinking,

and sound judgment in the solution of problems or the pursuit of business

opportunities. *Consolidates information from various sources

including feedback from others to reach sound decisions. *Considers the ultimate impact of decisions and

actions on internal and external customers. *Works smart by setting effective work goals,

establishing priorities, and planning well in order to produce quality work *Executes effectively by using resources

efficiently, meeting deadlines, and keeping others informed of work plans and

progress toward goals. *Clearly conveys and accurately receives

information by a variety of methods and in various situations. *Familiar with or possess the Six Sigma Green

Belt, preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Construction Management or related degree with 5+ years relevant work experience.

  • 5-10+ years’ experience as a Project Manager concurrently managing multiple small to large cross-divisional projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • 5+ years’ demonstrated experience leading process improvements efforts and implementing innovative solutions to solve business problems.

  • Experience working with a structured project management methodology.

  • Experience with Construction Management with preference to mixed use facility construction (retail, office, recreation)

  • Familiar with or possess the Six Sigma Green Belt

  • LEED accreditation or similar understanding of sustainable building design
