We are looking to appoint a flexible, organised and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work at our partnership unit at Mid Kent College, Medway Campus, Gillingham, ME7 1FN. Initially this contract is for a year, from September 2016 until August 2017, but could be extended.
Term time + 5 INSET days + 15 additional days (equalling 42 weeks per year) 37 hours per week. Kent Range 3 plus a Special Needs Allowance of £1,217 per annum.
The school offers comprehensive training in ASC, exceptional CPD support and development opportunities through our Co-operative Trust of SEN schools.
Currently judged as “Good” by Ofsted, the school is very well placed to becoming Outstanding and is oversubscribed.

Grange Park School is a day special school committed to making a difference for 101 pupils aged between 11 and 19 who have an Autism Spectrum Condition and associated learning difficulties.
Class sizes are between 9 -10 pupils with a teacher and 2 teaching assistants.
All staff receive training to improve their understanding and working knowledge of autism.
Grange Park School is fully committed to the protection and safety of its pupils. An enhanced DBS check is required for all staff and will be paid for by the school. All references will be taken up before interview.
