PACCAR’s Information Technology Division (ITD), located in Renton , WA utilizes cutting edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire Corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector.

Requisition Summary

This position is responsible for leading projects of moderate to high complexity with budgets ranging from $1-3+ million, project durations of 7500 hours or more, and the potential involvement of 25 or more participants.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

The position will lead all aspects of a project including but not limited to:

• Developing project plans and initiation charters
  


• Conducting Risk Assessment, QFD’s, and FMEA
  


• Building and executing project plans, ensuring conformance to established PACCAR standards and procedures
  


• Identifying resources needed and assigning tasks and responsibilities
  


• Communicating project status and issues to senior management and project sponsors
  


• Conducting project management improvement activities as part of a team of project managers within the Software Development Center
  


• Assisting with requirements elicitation as needed for project development
  


• Risk analysis and mitigation
  


• Managing project budget and project resources
  

Qualifications & Skills

• 4+ years of related IT Project Management experience on complex system implementations.
  


• Effective presentation skills suitable for senior management and other divisions
  


• Effective consensus building skills
  


• Demonstrated skill in managing complex projects requiring either package or custom solutions
  


• Strong teambuilding skills
  


• SAP project management experience preferred
  


• In-depth development methodology and system implementation experience
  


• Demonstrated skill in managing global teams
  


• Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  


• Self-motivated and able to work effectively with little to no supervision
  


• Strong application of process improvement methodologies.
  

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED/DESIRED:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field required
  


• Advanced PM training (i.e. PMP), Master’s Degree, Six Sigma certification or training preferred.
  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Prolonged sitting and manual dexterity are required. This position is in an office/desk work setting.
