Business Development Manager
Our client is looking to bring on board a talented, enthusiastic and motivated Business Development Manager to be an active and strong advocate in the wider commercial function of the business, identifying new business opportunities, participating in client pitches and promoting by attending events and networking opportunities who is capable of growing revenues within their agreed targets markets.
You’ll have full accountability for all aspects of the sales and bidding process and will be responsible for the delivery of key business objectives. Reporting directly in to the Head of Business Development, you will report back on KPI’s such as bids submitted, pipeline updates, project resource planning and industry info/updates. Candidates will come from a range of different sectors such as grant makers, local authority/public bodies, NHS/CCG, leisure, golf, amongst other strategic partnerships so strong experience of the management and successful delivery of complex, multi service, and tenders across a range of sectors is crucial. This position will be a mixture of office and field based.
We are seeking an outstanding candidate who has:
- Extensive experience as a Business Development Manager within the local authority, leisure, golf and/or NHS/CCG sectors.
- A proven track record of driving, developing and growing the business through a commercial approach;
- Excellent relationship building skills, specifically with entirely new clients;
- Structured approach to business development, with excellent technical skills (e.g. strong negotiation, account planning, contracting and sales administration);
- Strong academically, able to mould current sales best-practice to optimal effect and then execute;
- Excellent communication skills with ability to operate and thrive in a fast-paced, nimble work environment;
- Creative out of the box thinker who wants to form an industry leading function;
- Strong skills and experience in standard office desktop applications; and
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously ranging from strategy to execution.
