Contracts Manager required by specialist construction company based in Chatham, Kent. Competitive salary package (£30K – £35K) depending on skills and experience.

We one of the UK’s leaders in the design, installation and maintenance of Lightning Protection systems. Well established and with an excellent reputation, we now require a confident individual to join our busy projects team as a Contracts Manager. The role is extremely varied and wide-ranging.

Responsibilities:
-Work closely with the Projects Manager to assist the management of a wide variety of projects.
-Supervise engineers and programming their visits to ensure efficient use of resources whilst delivering customer satisfaction.
-Collaborate and co-ordinate with main contractors via site agents, site managers and Quantity Surveyors.
-Assist in the management of many projects at once, ensuring customers satisfaction, timeframes and budgets are all met.
-Ensure that unproductive time is kept to a minimum using logistics skills and interpretation of the customers’ requirements.
-Attend site for pre-start meetings, attending pre contract meetings, site visits for QA etc..
-Liaise with other personnel to arrange site visits, deal with customer queries, liaise with the estimating team to ensure that the project handover is seamless.
-Ensure all files are maintained with up to date working documents.
-Work closely with stores personnel to ensure correct materials are issued and that stock is correctly recorded.

You:
-Graduate or equivalent (HNC in construction related subject matter etc.)
-Previous experience working in a similar role – using most of the above skillset with similar responsibilities.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Ability to problem solve
-Excellent numerical/analytical skill and computer literate
-Able to work as part of a team
-Confident personality
-Self-motivated with the ability to manage often complex workloads and prioritise
