Job description


We are the contract logistics partner of choice for logistics outsourcing and the management of complex supply chains. Our integrated services include all aspects of logistics planning, control, and execution. Reporting to the Secondary Operational Managers the purpose of the role is to support the transport team by excellent standards of de-briefing, accurately completing clerical tasks including processing end of day POD and liaising with customer contact centres both within KNDL and our customer base.


Your Main Focus:


  • Assist the team, ensuring compliance within current legislation, e.g. drivers hours, WTD, Tachograph legislation, vehicle maintenance scheduling

  • Liaising between drivers and hauliers and agencies as required

  • Working between the transport and warehouse operations to ensure vehicles are loaded and despatched in a timely and efficient manner

  • Completing debriefs accurately to ensure all data entries are complete and input into the relevant systems/passed to relevant departments

  • Ensuring that driver debriefing, checking of the standards against actual performance, escalating any problems to Team Managers

  • Keeping customers advised of delivery timescales and ensuring efficient turnaround of vehicles – late running of deliveries and where necessary the rebooking of loads

  • Successful applicant must be available to work 11:00 – 20:00 as the core working hours

Your skills and experience


  • Experience gained within a Transport or Logistics work environment

  • Knowledge of Southern UK town / city locations is desirable

  • Good knowledge of transport and logistics

  • Basic knowledge of driver’s hours and Working Time Directives (WTD)

  • High standard of computer literacy (MS Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Knowledge of transport related systems (some exposure to planning/scheduling software such as Paragon/GTS/ESP)
