Learning and Development Officer, Maidstone
One of our most reputable clients are looking for a Learning and Development Officer to join their Academy team. They are paying between £25,000 – 28,000 per annum with a car allowance on top.
Act as a consultant for internal and external customers to understand their performance and learning needs. Advise on and contribute to the design, delivery and evaluation of a range of learning and development activities.
Key Duties:
– Identify possible external markets and opportunities to sell a range of Learning and Development solutions
– Support and/or lead on a range of relevant Projects and assist Academy colleagues to develop and maintain the company so that it achieves its overall objectives
– Advise stakeholders across the organisation on L&D solutions and methods and ensure appropriate interventions are identified to suit particular needs
– Identify possible external markets for a range of Learning and Development solutions.
Provide appropriate interventions that meet the needs of external client groups
– Undertake sales and marketing activities to promote the company to internal and external clients
– Work closely with customers to identify, understand, prioritise and evaluate the learning and development needs of individuals, teams and client groups
– Contribute to the design, development, delivery and evaluation of an effective range of learning and development events including leadership solutions that meet the specific needs and requirements of customers
– To work closely with internal and external customers to ensure learning solutions are reviewed and updated on a regular basis in line with requirements
– Consistently apply the companies values and a policy of continuous improvement to assess, evaluate and improve all learning methods, content, materials and processes
– Assist with the planning and organisation of Learning and Development activities
– Assist with researching and if necessary, resourcing external suppliers/facilitators and funding streams in order to add value to Learning and Development activities
– Support the Senior Academy consultant in the development and delivery of organisational change initiatives
– Represent the company on relevant business-wide projects
– Lead on the delivery of the organisation’s core training proposition and contribute to a range of suitable Special Projects that support the Business, People, Customer First and Staff Engagement Strategies
Person Specifications:
– Excellent communication skills with an ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal, written, presentation, verbal and listening skills to a wide range of audiences across all levels
– Effective negotiation, influencing, challenging and facilitation skills
– Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the training cycle
– Experience in designing, delivering and evaluating a wide variety of L&D interventions that utilise a blended range of media, technologies and delivery methods
– Experience of delivering and facilitating events to a wide range of audiences across all levels
– Previous experience of working with external customers in a commercial organisation
– CIPD qualified or equivalent training qualification with a preference to also be qualified in psychometric testing such as MBTI or SDI
– Willingness to travel to meet requirements of the role
