Office Manager
GDS are a well-established Building Surveying practise located in central Tunbridge Wells with another office located in Newhaven, and are currently looking for a new Office Manager to join our young and dynamic team.
The successful candidate would be responsible for the day to day running of the office as well as the administration for 9 Surveyors including 3 Directors. The day to day work varies hugely but the main tasks would include:
• Organising meetings
• Bookkeeping tasks
• Typing and general office administration
• Booking transport and accommodation
• Ordering stationery and furniture
• Dealing with correspondence and queries
• Preparing letters, presentations and reports
• Assisting with the managing office budgets
• Liaising with staff, suppliers and clients
• Implementing and maintaining procedures/office administrative systems
• Organising induction programmes for new employees
• Ensuring that health and safety policies are up to date
• Using a range of software packages including all Microsoft Office applications and specialist bookkeeping software Xero
• Keeping personnel records
• Previous experience of Xero would be very beneficial but not essential
• Project opening
• File management of the Order Book
• Management of the Order Book
• Disbursement and Sub Consultants Accounting
The position based at our Tunbridge Wells office but occasionally travel to the Newhaven Office in necessary. We are looking for someone with exceptional personal skills, reliable and hardworking who can maintain confidentiality and operate autonomously. The successful candidate will demonstrate ingenuity and have excellent IT skills.
