The Program Manager will provide management and oversight over the coordination and
counseling of Kent MSSW students on curriculum selection, program selection, degree requirements and registration. Monitor course
enrollments and coordinate class cancellation procedures. Create the schedule of courses for the MSSW program each year, using input from
each faculty member. Provide management and oversight over the assignment of faculty advisors to Kent MSSW students by the Coordinator of
Academic Affairs. Coordinate with the Administrative Systems Analyst in the maintenance of the Kent Advising site in Blackboard. Provide
management and oversight to the Coordinator of Academic Affairs as s/he acts as a liaison between faculty/staff and students. Collaborate
with the curriculum committee in developing academic experiences that promote retention. Supervise the identification of students in
academic jeopardy and initiation of contact with students in academic jeopardy and consultation with faculty in relation to student
performance.
Conduct exit interviews with random samples of Kent MSSW students and report findings to faculty and administration.
Provide management and oversight to the coordination of applications for graduation. Supervise the completion of degree checks for
graduation and employment. Supervise the communication with other units about graduation related issues (i.e. Registrar’s, Kent Alumni
Council, Honorary Societies). Supervise the development of communication tools in relation to good standing and degree confirmation and the
coordination of change of grade procedures. Provide management and oversight to all commencement activities in May and December, including
the awards, the graduation party, the graduation program and the University wide commencement activities. Coordinate with all program
coordinators to ensure programs reflect the correct information on all students.
Provide support to the Associate Dean of Academic
Affairs on all Accreditation Activities for all programs that need to go through the various accreditation cycles, including the collection
and maintenance of all student learning outcomes and the preparation of University student learning outcome reports as well as Accreditation
Body reports. Provide management and oversight to the Coordinator as s/he coordinates the annual update of the electronic syllabus archive
and syllabus requests from Kent alumni for licensure requirements. Coordinate with the Administrative Systems Analyst the maintenance of the
database, including importing and exporting data at the end of each semester and uploading data from the online Admissions survey.
Coordinate with the Administrative Systems Analyst in the development of queries, forms and reports based on the needs of the staff, faculty
and students.
A high level of proficiency in SharePoint, Access, Excel, and Word is required. Candidate must have excellent
organizational and analytical skills. Candidate must have a vision for how an electronic and paperless student filing system can be
created.
