Shop Supervisor – Oversee all aspects of the service department (operations, work order management, admin, etc.). The ideal candidates will possess sales and/or service experience and contacts in the trucking/trailer industry as well as the following:
Requirements

• Associates degree or cumulative experience


• 2-3years sales experience in the trucking industry; parts, service and sales


• Trailer sales a plus; transport refrigeration experience a plus


• Strong working knowledge of maintenance and repair in the automotive or commercial trucking industry


• Strong organizational, time management and listening skills


• Able to take directions, multi task, a self-starter & a team player


• Able to facilitate technician training and advancement


• Answer customer service phones; greet shop counter customers


• Ability to coordinate jobs for shop and field service technicians


• Maintain existing service relationships


• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel


• Use reporting system to manage productivity, utilization and work in process

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities are relative to sales, customer cultivation, shop production, quality control, shop image and maintenance, and customer satisfaction. Will develop business, secure orders, and prepare written estimates for service work and parts. Act as liaison between customer and technicians; strong interaction with in-house service technicians. Track service/work orders, parts requests, perform timely follow-up with customer, resolve customer complaints, prepare customer visit reports and report to Operations Manager. Monitor operations to ensure that services rendered conform to company policy and standards. Input/track work orders through computer. Ensure timely completion of work order and invoice submission.
