They are growing significantly well and are now seeking an Audit and Accounts Manager to join their team in varied and progressive role servicing a mix of Not for Profit and corporate clients. Description
The role as an Audit and Accounts Manager (Top 20 practice) will entail:
Working directly with the partners and Corporate Finance team, responsible for overseeing and running an audit team through effective management of seniors & junior staff, training and mentoring them whilst on the job
Reviewing the work-papers of the engagements, ensuring they are compliant with the associated regulatory requirements and passing these on for further review by a partner for completion after the testing has been completed
Occasionally getting involved in some of the assignments, completing work as part of the team from planning through to completion on accounts/audit assignments during busy season
Managing a client portfolio and being the first point of contact for a number of clients, having lots of contact with clients
Networking and bringing in new clients to the business
Management responsibilities involving annual internal reviews such as the appraisal of audit staff and ensuring compliance with CPD
There is also scope to get involved with the development of their other local offices and clear progression prospects for the right person.
Profile
The ideal Audit and Accounts Manager (Top 20) would have the following profile:
ACA/ACCA Qualified (preferably first time passes but not essential)
Technically strong knowledge of accounting and auditing standards
An ability to work on numerous client time-lines, formulating and hitting budgets as well as being able to organise, manage and control their own and the audit team’s workloads
A skilled communicator and an ability to interact on a professional level
Confidence, Personality & Character to add to the culture of the firm
