Description
Position Summary:
Receives, stores, and issues equipment, materials, and supplies. Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications and invoices. Stores materials and parts according to Inventory System requirements. Fills/issues orders and supplies from stock. Requisitions stock to fill incoming orders and prepares stock use reports. Familiar with storage methods considering temperature, humidity, weight or height limits, turnover, floor/shelf loading capacity, and required space. Handles inventory according to system procedures.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Review and receive MRP and related purchase orders from suppliers
- Review MRP and related work orders for kitting, material, and inventory requests; Coordinate with supervision and team to prioritize work to MRP and shop requirements
- Ensure proper packaging and storage of inventory
- Prep kits to MRP requirements using pick list; Prefer experience with using FIFO according to work order instructions; Ensure kit completeness including verification of latest PO/POC; stage kits/parts for partmark and assembly
- Support inventory audits and record results; Record material debits/credits and support troubleshoot discrepancies; Relabel stock and record changes in MRP/Inventory System; Bring to supervision’s attention anticipated downstream requirements due to schedule, loss, and change requirements
- Respond to expedited requests and coordinate materials for delivery to users as required; Control/restock bin stock quantities
- Familiarize oneself with GCM Processes and Procedures including applicable MRP, Inventory System, and Business Quality Management System procedures as applicable
- May occasionally perform special projects; Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills:
- Familiar with computerized MRP/Inventory systems
- Understands and adheres to proper material storage requirements
- Understands local GCM manufacturing process and how Inventory control interacts with upstream and downstream functions
- Blueprint reading and basic math skills
- Good computer skills and ability to query, monitor, and input MRP system data
- Able to be certified with and operate a fork lift and picker
- Maintain inventory storage in a clean, orderly manner
- Ability to professionally communicate and work with others
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities
- Willingness to learn and, as required, help and/or train others
Experience & Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
1-2 years of related experience.
