Due to their ongoing success, they have created a new role in the finance team as a Systems Accountant (Finance Systems Manager), who will act as a conduit between the Finance and IT teams, help develop and improve reporting and assist the business to perform better by developing their ERP system.

Overall, the Systems Accountant will have responsibility to contribute to the integrity of the accounts and to ensure they are compliant with the Company’s accounting policies, be responsible for ensuring the systems and processes are robust for the reporting of reliable financial information and to work collaboratively with the operational, IT and finance support teams for the benefit of the business.

The Systems Accountant will also be responsible for business process reviews and improvement implementation, be the subject matter expert for report writing and development across all finance systems and for developing the accounting transactions to provide best information. You would be the Finance lead on corporate process projects, manage the testing of the impacts of system changes for finance and also provide system support and appropriate training to the finance team.

To be considered for this interesting and challenging opportunity, you will ideally be a qualified accountant however you must have a strong background in functional systems accounting and acting as the conduit between the Finance and IT teams. You must have a good understanding of ERP systems, and ideally experience with Oracle would be a distinct advantage. Being a natural communicator, you will enjoy liaising with differing stakeholders across a business, influencing them and helping all processes run better! You MUST have a car as this client’s offices aren’t close to a station.
