Salary: £11,544 – £12,246 + £2,040 CN Allowance + Shift Allowances
Contract: Part time, 130 Hrs Per Month, permanent.

Canterbury Oast Trust takes pride in providing good quality care and support for adults with learning disabilities across Kent and East Sussex. We provide long-term accommodation and care, based in small, unique family style homes. The ethos of all our homes is to support independence, dignity, choice and achievement by helping people to live the lives they choose. The New Bungalow is home to six adults who have complex learning disability needs including physical and sensory impairments.
As a Complex Needs Support Worker you will provide good quality care and support to the adults based on their needs through a person-centred approach. You will assist them in every aspect of their daily lives, including personal care by providing a safe and supportive environment that enables individuals to feel valued, reach their potential and nurture their aspirations.
Ideally you will need:
• An appreciation of the needs of people with learning disabilities plus physical and sensory impairments
• Experience of using specialist equipment and knowledge of autism, diabetes, epilepsy
• To be considerate, patient, self-motivated, enthusiastic and professional
• To be Flexible as hours include weekends, sleep-ins and awake night duties as rostered
• Sound interpersonal skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills plus basic IT and report writing skills
• NVQ2/Level 2/Diploma Level 2 in Health & Social Care Qualifications or working towards or a willingness to work towards within 18 months of commencement
• To hold a driving licence due to our rural location
