Forklift Driver - OPS - Goodwill of the Olympics and Rainier Region - Kent, WA

Job Summary: The Forklift Driver provides forklift operation in a production environment and adheres to safety standards. This is a critical role to help manage Tacoma Goodwill’s supply chain and ensure our donated goods are processed to provide revenue for our mission.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Loads and unloads salvaged products onto trailers and trucks.


Assists the production department.


Maintains receiving and delivery shipping logs.


Stacks items onto pallets of various heights.


Moves items onto pallets with fork lift. Receives and distributes products.

Maintains safety standards as provided by the Production Supervisor.


Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training, 2 years of forklift experience highly desired; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must possess Forklift certification; must pass company certification test.


Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
