My client secondary school based in Bexley is now an academy and one of the top schools in London let alone Kent! Part of a federation this school is a great base for any graduate seeking the right training and skills before going on to complete a PGCE.

The role as a cover supervisor will come with a number of responsibilities as follows:

• Supervise work that has been set by a teacher


• Manage the behaviour of pupils whilst they are undertaking this work to ensure a constructive environment


• Respond to any questions from pupils about process and procedures


• Deal with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school’s policies and procedures


• Collect completed work after the lesson and pass to the appropriate teacher


• Report, as appropriate using the school’s agreed referral procedures, on the behaviour of pupils during the class and on any problems arising

This is a great opportunity for a graduate to excel within a class room environment as you will be effectively managing a classroom as well as providing support and engaging in extracurricular activities.

To reiterate this is a top London school and the position will be a June start which will continue onto next year!

Any graduate with experience in teaching or cover supervisory work will be preferable however not essential.

• Commit to working full time


• Experience in working with young people (Voluntarily or non-voluntarily)
