The Head of Maths at my client Secondary School in Tonbridge is looking for a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant who is bright, energetic and serious about forging a career as a Maths Teacher.

The new Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant will report directly to the Head of Maths who will act as your mentor. The Head of Maths will use you to support his timetable and help Teachers from year 7 to year 13 in Maths and further Maths. The new Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant will work with individuals and small groups to help boost attainment levels for all pupils. You may be helping Year 7’s understand basic algebra in the morning and then working with gifted and talented students in a Further Maths class in the afternoon.
The Secondary School in a well renowned secondary School in Tonbridge. The School and Maths department were graded as “outstanding” in 2013 and students here receive an excellent educational in a peaceful, productive environment.

The successful new Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant will be encouraged to take part in all aspects of school life so you get a real flavour of what it is really like to be a Maths Teacher. You will be welcomed into the Maths department with open arms. The new Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant will be invited to all school events and those Graduate Teaching Assistants who partake in extra-curricular activities are extremely welcome to apply.

The year’s paid experience will set you up nicely for your PGCE application and for the Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant who has shown the right aptitude over the year there could be a School Direct Teaching placement available for you!!
