EAST BOROUGH PRIMARY SCHOOL: KS1 Teacher - Part-time
Start Date: Sep 2016
Pay: MPS
One of our fantastic teachers is returning from her maternity leave in September. We are therefore looking for an experienced teacher (or outstanding NQT) who could join our Year 1 team and commit to a job share contract for the academic year.
Please come and meet us to discover a happy school, caring ethos and fantastic resources. We are seeking a highly talented, enthusiastic and ambitious teacher to work in KS1. We are intending to appoint someone to start from the beginning of September 2016. You will need to provide evidence of very good practice in the classroom. We are a friendly and supportive team and your Ofsted Inspection in May 2015 confirmed us as a ‘Good’ school with very good features.
Your new colleagues are known to be a friendly, supportive and highly ambitious team. They look forward to working with someone who shares their appetite for success and would enjoy working in a supportive, fun and creative environment.
Our school is set in beautiful grounds and is well resourced with lots of space. Our children want a teacher who is cheerful, caring, and enthusiastic and who enjoys coming up with new ways to explore the curriculum and challenge them in a creative way.
We have well motivated and well behaved children who are excited to meet you. Join the team at East Borough and help us to shape the future of our pupils.

Information about the school
East Borough is a popular two form entry Primary School with a friendly, caring ethos in the centre of Maidstone. It is set in large grounds, with beautifully maintained buildings and outside areas. We have 3 playgrounds and a large field with a good reputation for sport, ICT and music as well as for academic standards.
Ethos: Our school aims to create a safe, caring and respectful culture to enable children to develop personal abilities, interests and talents. We do this through an identified set of ‘Core Values’: Aspiration, Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, Courage, with the overall challenge to ‘be the best we can be’.
We are developing learning skills to ensure that children acquire positive work attitudes, grow up with honesty and learn to accept responsibility with confidence.
Our curriculum is broad and balanced. It is enriched with trips, visits, productions, extra curricular activities and wrap around care. We offer opportunities for children to excel in a variety of ways.
We provide a quality education to all our pupils helping them to learn, as future citizens and lifelong learners.
Our School and all its personnel are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
