Aerospace-Administrative Assistant - 1st Shift (Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm) - Skills Inc. - Auburn, WA

JOB SUMMARY

Perform administrative duties and data entry for the Contracts department. Assist in the Finished Goods area with inventory and packaging activities. Monitor and order supplies and provide additional support to other team members as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

• Access customer websites to download, distribute and respond to customer documentation.

• Greet and direct visiting customers, vendors, and employees in a professional, positive manner.

• Perform data entry and other computer-related tasks and projects.

• Perform administrative tasks and provide support for meetings and activities as directed.

• Assist in the Finished Goods area to support packaging, shipping and cycle counts.

• Monitor, order and stock standard supplies.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.

• Perform other duties as assigned.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.


QUALIFICATIONS

• U.S. Person status required due to export control.

• Recent work history with general computer experience, utilizing Outlook, Excel and Word.

• Demonstrate a professional demeanor and exhibit a positive, pleasant attitude.

• Requires the ability to focus on tasks with excellent attention to detail.

• Ability to adapt to a variety of tasks and effectively manage several projects at the same time.

• Ability to maintain a clean, organized work area.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and capability of effectively working with a wide variety of communication styles.

• Ability to sit at a computer work station for extended periods of time.

• Physical ability to walk, stand, carry, bend, push, reach and climb a step stool.

• Experience in manufacturing is a plus.


LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to read work instructions and procedures in English.

• Ability to read write effectively with correct grammar and spelling in English.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma required. Associates Degree is preferred; or five years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to focus.

• Occasional use of Industry standard personal protective equipment (PPE) required.

• Constant exposure to indoor manufacturing environment.

• Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.

• Constant exposure to moderate noise.

Constant (5-8 hrs. /shift) Frequent (2-5 hrs. /shift) Occasional (Up to 2 hrs. /shift)
