My client Primary Headteacher is looking for a bright Graduate to join their school as a Teaching Assistant for the academic year 2016/2017. The new Graduate Teaching Assistant will be looking to do their Primary PGCE in 2017 and you will be wanting to build up your classroom experience in preparation for the course.

The new Year 2 Teaching Assistant will be a vivacious character. As well as possessing a calm, patient temperament, you will also be able to connect with a lively, eager to learn class.
The behaviour of the class is very good but heir attainment levels vary greatly, largely due to the number of children who possess English as their second language. Your role will be to work with these children to instil the fundamentals of English literacy and raise the attainment with these children over the course of the year.

The new Teaching Assistant will work in small groups or on an individual basis. You will be ably supported by the SENCO who will brief you into each child’s learning needs and provide you with the resources to ensure that you make a real difference to the children’s reading and writing. The results can be instantaneous and watching the children progress so quickly can be most gratifying.

The Primary School is a 1 form entry school in Medway which was graded as “Good” by Ofsted in 2011. The School is located in the centre of town and you will receive a parking permit, if needed, to park for free.
