Information about the school
Istead Rise Primary School is set in the village of Istead Rise, which has close links to the A2, M2 and junctions of the M25. The school has provided education for children from the local community for the last 50 years and will be celebrating its Golden Anniversary this year. In September 2015, the school joined the highly successful Swale Academies Trust and now works closely with other schools within the trust to share ideas and good practice to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils. There are currently 305 children on roll, with the view to increase as we become a fully formed two form entry school. We teach a creative curriculum, using the Cornerstones format, where each terms learning is focused around a new, exciting and engaging topic. We closely follow the new curriculum to ensure that all our pupils are given the best learning opportunities to reach their potential. A strong pupil voice is represented throughout the school, led by a keen Pupil Parliament. Children’s needs and their learning are always at the heart of what we do.
Our School and all its personnel are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
