Sandblaster and Abrasive Blaster - Crystal Soda Blast - Kent, WA

Come join a team where we are always having a blast! We crank out some major projects but have fun doing it.

Duties include operating multiple types of blasting equipment, shotblasters, grinders, scarifiers, compressors, and generators, carrying various medias, building containment units, and thorough clean up. Applicants must be able to be on feet all day and lift up to 100 lbs consistently. The successful candidate will demonstrate initiative, be a self-starter with a high level of professional integrity, and have a good work ethic and a strong competitive drive. Strong construction background is needed.

Job Qualifications:
-Valid WA State driver’s license and reliable transportation
Clean driving record preferred-18 years of age or older
-Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
-Agree to a background check
-Ability to work in a full face mask with hoses and in low light conditions
-Out of town travel required occasionally
-Have CPR/1st Aid Certification (within 90 days of hire)
-Must be a US Citizen with all required documentation
-Able to work Nights, Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays (as needed) with little notice

Preferred candidates will some of the following:
-Have OSHA 10 Certification or above
-Prior Sandblasting or Surface preparation experience (shot blasting, diamond grinding, etc)
-Able to trouble shoot equipment failures
-Able to drive a truck towing a trailer
-Lead abatement training/certification
-Knowledge of Surface Preparation Standards (SSPC/NACE)
Forklift certification

Employment is year round pt/ft and times worked are dependent on weather, job specifications and time of site availability. Candidate must be able to also work nights, weekends, holidays and overtime (as needed) with some prior notice. We offer medical, dental and life insurance policies and salaries are up to $43/hour.
