My client Head Teacher is looking for a sporty Teaching Assistant to help their Class Teacher of a Year 5 class for the rest of academic year.

The new Teaching Assistant will be a graduate who is looking to pursue a career in teaching and who is looking to build up your classroom experience in advance of completing a future PGCE application.

The Teaching Assistant role will be to help the Class Teacher in the planning, delivery and organisation of lessons. The class is a 30 strong group of children. They are a lively group of children who respond well to direction and who are progressing nicely. 30% of the children are SEN children and you will be assisted in the classroom by a Learning Support Assistant who will ensure that the children’s individual needs are met.

The ideal new Teaching Assistant will be an active type who has a love of sport. You will play or have played competitive sport and you will be required to help out in PE lessons and in extra-curricular sporting activities.

The Primary School is a 2 form entry Primary School in Chatham, near to the Town Centre and train station.
