BMI Somerfield in Maidstone Kent have a exciting opportunity as a Theatre Manager, to join their busy and energetic department. To be a key member of management to work closely with all levels of senior management with the hospital.

As part of your job you will be providing leadership and directions to all of those within the Theatres, acting as an important point of contract. Ensuring that the Theatres are run at optimal and peak efficiently in relation to booking/booked operating sessions and availability to meet the demands of elective and emergency work.

You will be either a NMC Registered Nurse or HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner with significant post-registration experience. Expert knowledge of clinical practice and considerable experience in a senior clinical lead role, experienced scrub practitioner in a variety of specialities, experienced in the management of safe theatre teams

Duties of this role include:

*Assess, implement and evaluate anaesthetic care delivery, providing high standards of clinical and customer care
*To participate in anaesthetic, recovery and scrub duties as required
*To take part in the ‘on call’ rota as required
*To be part of the resuscitation team
*To assist in the setting and maintenance of clinical standards and implementation of *clinical audit findings
