Urine Drug Screen Collector - U.S. HealthWorks Medical Group - Tukwila, WA





Report drug screen results and job-related physical results to the client by telephone. Mail hard copy of results to client. Maintain physicals files and prepare monthly NIDA reports for employers. Prepare lab results for physician review and signature.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Process physicals paperwork and follow up on lab results.

  • Telephone confidential information/test results to appropriate employer contacts.

  • Copy and mail results to employers.

  • Maintain physicals files in alphabetical/chronological order.

  • Prepare monthly NIDA reports for employers.

  • Prepare lab results for physician review and signature.

  • Advise supervisor and/or Account Executive of any procedure or information changes requested by client.

  • Assist front office personnel by answering telephones, registering patients, and discharging patients.

  • Utilize formal channels of communication to report concerns, personal requests and patient issues.

  • Respect patients’ right to privacy and confidentiality.

  • Maintain an orderly and professional working atmosphere.

  • Report to work properly dressed according to the approved dress code.

  • Adhere to guidelines concerning working hours and break periods.

  • Understand and follow department’s organizational policies and procedures.

  • Assist clinic manager in prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness and modifying activities when necessary.

  • Meet deadlines for work assignments and inform supervisor of work status and progress.

  • Communicate and cordially work with other staff to ensure efforts are coordinated and a high quality of service is provided.

  • Perform related work as requested.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent telephone manners and etiquette.

  • Proficiency in use of business machines (calculator, typewriter, copier, etc.).

  • Orientation to detail, good organizational skills.

  • Desire to meet and exceed client and patient needs and expectations.

  • Self-motivation.

  • Ability to complete assigned projects and meet deadlines.

  • Sufficient knowledge of grammar, punctuation and spelling to correctly enter patient information into the computer when necessary.

  • Ability to speak clearly and concisely.

  • Ability to sort and file materials correctly in alphabetical or numerical systems.

  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

  • Ability to correct body mechanics in order to avoid repetitive motion and other injuries related to office work.

  • Knowledge of company programs, services and resources available to patients.

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalency

EXPERIENCE

One year of experience in a medical office position, preferably related to Workers’ Compensation; computer and word processing experience.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION

Prefer Medical Assistant Certificate of Competence (front and back office). EOE/Minorities/Females/Vet/Disability
