Teaching Assistant required for the Valley Invicta Primary School at Kings Hill starting September 2016

Salary: £12,540.56 – £13,993.61 pro rata (37 hours per week/term time only)

Valley Invicta Academies Trust require a Teaching Assistant for the Early Years Foundation Stage in the Valley Invicta Primary School at Kings Hill.

The successful candidate will:-

• Have English and Mathematics GCSE (C grade or above).


• Knowledge and experience of observations and Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.


• Have a first aid qualification or be prepared to undergo first aid training


• Be able to support teaching staff in providing a stimulating and caring learning environment.


• Be committed to supporting and nurturing children, adopting an inclusive approach that enables them to reach their full potential.


• Motivate and inspire children to learn.


• Be able to work as part of a team and on their own initiative.


• Be able to adapt and respond to children’s individual emotional and physical needs.

Your duties will include:-

• Assisting with group and individual work.


• Observations.


• Providing assistance with day-to-day running of the class.


• Supervision of and engagement in play.


• Monitoring the lunch hall during mealtimes.


• Promoting good table manners.

The Valley Invicta Academies Trust is a Multi Academy Trust, based in Maidstone, Kent. Presently the Trust is responsible for four primary schools and two secondary schools:
