Secondary School, 11-18 co-educational non-selective school with approx 1050 pupils on roll including 200 in the sixth form. The school has an excellent reputation, is popular with parents and regularly over-subscribed. Our subject specialisms are Business and Enterprise and Applied Learning and the school benefits enormously from having strong links with the local business community.

The Media/Film department is a key department in the school and the subject is popular with students at both KS4 and KS5. There are 3 full-time teachers in the department and students study WJEC GCSE and A level, and AQA GCSE and A level. The department is situated in a large open plan area with excellent resources – Apple Macs and a small film studio. The ability to undertake editing is a requirement of the post as is the teaching of English (approx. 50%). We are committed to the professional development of all staff and provide a comprehensive induction programme on arrival. All teaching staff have a laptop for use at school and home – remote access to the network from home is available to all staff and students.
