ACCOUNT MANAGER FOR INDEPENDENT BUSINESS TRAVEL COMPANY

Our client is currently seeking applicants for the role of Account Manager.


Ideal candidates will be pro-active and possess strong self management skills with the ability to work both independently and as a team.


In addition they will, possess strong negotiation abilities, have the ability to influence and have excellent relationship management skills.


Account Manager Responsibilities:


• Ownership of a portfolio of new and Existing clients


• Demonstrate commercial awareness with all accounts and grow the bottom line


• Lead contract renewal within client base


• Lead and support implementation in clients


• Support the sales department in new tenders


• Identify growth opportunities within clients group or within industry


• Ability to work at all levels of Hierarchy both internally and with the client


• Prepare and deliver monthly and 1/4ly reviews with your clients


• Make personal recommendations to influence change within each client after spending time analyzing and forecasting performance


• Introduce key suppliers and products to the client and secure dedicated deals


• Work with other departments in the UK to ensure success


Account Manager Skills Required:


* Previous account management experience in business travel would be an advantage however they would look at an Airline Account Manager or someone with a strong Customer service background looking to get in to business travel
* Candidates must have a current, in depth travel industry knowledge


* Strong commercial, financial and strategic skills


* Able to project manage several priority tasks at the same time,


* solid analytical skills are needed together with the ability to find creative and innovative solutions to key business issues within often tight timeframes. Good working knowledge of MS Office products needed.
