Information about the school

Fordcombe is a small, rural primary school set in the heart of the Kent countryside. It has up to 105 pupils on-site, with approximately 15 pupils per year group. On entry, pupils are fortunate enough to spend their first year in a reception class with 15 classmates. There are three mixed-age classes in Key Stage 1 and 2 with roughly 30 pupils in each.

Graded as a ‘Good’ in our very recent Ofsted inspection, pupils’ attitudes to learning, their behaviour around the school and the vibrancy and diversity of our curriculum were all picked out as real strengths.

We have an enthusiastic staff team who want to see the school achieve the best for its pupils. We have a very supportive parent body that have recently funded the development of our new library. We are looking for someone who is willing to join our small but dedicated team, working alongside other staff to continue moving learning forward.

Our School and all its personnel are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
