Company Buyer/Purchasing Manager £20-35,000 per annum (depending upon experience)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a procurement professional to join a well-established business that has seen year on year growth for many years.

Reporting to the Operations Director and liaising with the Production Manager and Team Leaders, this role focuses on the procurement of electronic, electrical and mechanical components using MRP and SAP.

The successful applicant will have a proven track record in a similar role and industry and a relevant procurement qualification (preferably CIPS) is desirable but not essential. You will be familiar with carrying out a role within an ISO 9001 regulated company and have structured and methodical approach to your work. You will have a good level of education, be technically competent with good commercial acumen. Graduate applicants with suitable experience or interests will also be considered.

The company trade in multi-currency and the ability to manage exchange rates in order to achieve margins is critical to the business as is the management of the inventory and order book in line with sales and cash flow requirements.

As you establish yourself within this organisation, you will have the confidence and ability to grow and take on further responsibility as and when necessary adding support to the Operations Director.

In return, you can expect to be integrated into a small but professional friendly team to play an integral role within the business.

You can expect to earn a salary to reflect your experience, 23 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays) gradually rising to 30 days (plus Bank Holidays).
