Commercial Partner
Our client, a well respected and established law firm in Kent, are currently looking for an experienced Commercial Partner to join our corporate and commercial team, working for some major local and national clients within various key sectors which includes healthcare, for which they are nationally ranked.
This is a rare opportunity for the right person to join a dynamic corporate and commercial team with a reputation for delivering outstanding client service. This firm offers a full service to handle the commercial interests of clients; companies, partnerships, and public sector bodies, offering solutions-driven, flexible and commercial legal advice.
This is a key appointment to the team so would expect that anyone joining would have at least 5 year’s post qualification experience within the commercial legal environment, including technological issues, IT provision and on-line trading issues; intellectual property rights issues; data protection; trading arrangements; agency and distribution agreements and joint ventures.
In addition to handling your own caseload of commercial work to a high calibre, you will also have the opportunity to actively participate in team and firm wide business development initiatives. You will have a keen commercial acumen and understand the need to provide ‘added value’ to the firms’ commercial clients.
Experience required
• Previous experience working in a senior commercial legal role.
• Experience of IP and competition law would be an advantage.
• Private practice experience gained in a top 100 law firm.
• Experience of influencing internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to translate complex legal and compliance requirements into practical workable solutions for our clients.
• Excellent track record of business development and client relationship management.
