About the HLTA role


As a HLTA at this school you will be supporting learning in a general capacity, across the school. Your duties will include providing pupils with the extra support they need to feel confident in the classroom by reinforcing their knowledge in small groups or on a 1:1 basis. The school believes that practical application is the best way of learning, and you will be given the opportunity to lead a whole class independently as you cover some lessons over PPA periods. Your HLTA duties will include advancing your basic teaching skills through listening to the advice of your Special Educational Needs Coordinator who manages effectively using a hands-on approach.
