Tuff Shed is recruiting for an experienced and motivated Production Manager to contribute to the success of our manufacturing facility based in Tukwila. This role offers the opportunity for professional growth – and the chance to make a real impact to the Company.
Do you have what it takes to be a successful Production Manager?
- Proven leadership skills will be required ensure we meet and beat the Store’s financial and operations targets.
- Experience working in an industrial environment is highly preferred. Responsibilities include scheduling sub-contractors, managing inventory and our fleet, and overall safety in the Store.
- Efficient use of labor and materials, including planning pre-fab workflow, purchasing inventory, performing cycle counts and monitoring waste control .
- Ensuring tools and equipment are secured, inventoried, and properly maintained within manufacturer’s specifications and in compliance with TUFF SHED’s safety requirements.
- Ensuring that sub-contractors are loaded safely in a timely manner and that all materials are provided and accurate for each job.
- Periodically inspecting completed buildings and provides feedback to production and sales personnel on job performance and quality issues.
- Performing customer service duties, such as warranty / building repair and customer resolution.
- Providing feedback and innovative solutions to the GM concerning production, fabrication, quality, organization, productivity, store cleanliness and customer service.
Experience / Qualifications
- Ability to operate standard construction equipment , such as power and pneumatic tools, as well as measuring devices.
- Experience managing a team and meeting operational targets . Also preferred, experience with sub-contractors .
- Inventory and fleet management experience.
- Successful background networking and growing long-term business partnerships ; ability to deal with multiple issues, growing trust and solving problems.
- Background in and understanding of financials , including GL and/or P&L statements preferred.
- Strong PC skills , including Word, Excel and Outlook. CRM experience highly preferred.
