Northwest Center is looking for a Production Supervisor to join our Puget Sound Laundry Services team! The Production Supervisor coordinates tasks between all functions of the Commercial Laundry operation including supervising the completion of all tasks/work stations monitoring quality and maintaining cleaning requirements.This is a safety sensitive position.

Essential Functions
Manage the productivity of all employees and work centers
Monitor work flow and linen production between all departments
Manage utility and material costs
Perform daily quality checks and cleaning procedures
Ensure building is locked and secure
Manage employee hours
Communicate with leads regarding any discrepancies
Train employees from diverse backgrounds on quality and production standards
Experience
3+ years of commercial laundry/manufacturing experience required
Previous supervisory or lead experience
Previous Blood borne Pathogens training experience
Capable of learning the numerous formulas and drying times and temperatures which apply to each linen items being processed
Load and operate washer & dryer, including setting correct formulas and drying temperatures
Able to learn the numerous formulas drying times and temperatures which apply to each linen item being processed
Able to keep a steady pace of work; volume depends on current contract but work must be completed within the contract time frame
Able to understand and follow instructions
Strong interpersonal skills; work effectively with others
Attention to detail; high level of quality control/accuracy
Able to complete assigned tasks in limited time frame
Physical Demands
Wear protective clothing and gloves as required by Universal Precautions Manual
Lift and carry up to 50lbs. forward and overhead at frequent intervals
Able to push/pull moderately heavy slings of soiled and clean linen (up to 400lbs.) and moderately heavy mobile carts of up to 600lbs. for short distances
Standing up to eight (8) hours
Pull/push bins weighing up to 100lbs
Must have excellent manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination
Operate heavy equipment
Exposure to chemicals, humidity, cold and heat
Potential exposure to OSHA Blood/Body Fluids (BBF) and infectious/hazardous materials
Work in noisy indoor environment
Hearing in person or by phone a normal or whispering voice
Availability to work overtime
