Financial Analyst




Background

An exciting new vacancy has arisen within the Finance Expense Management team in AXA PPP healthcare for a Financial Analyst.


Based in Tunbridge Wells and reporting to the Head of Expenses and Sales MI, you will be responsible as part of a small team for providing financial partnering support to the AXA PPP PMI business.

The role


  • Build strong working relationships across a portfolio of AXA PPP healthcare functions, acting as the key point of liaison for those areas

  • Set departmental expense targets and lead negotiation with departmental Directors to ensure achievement of target

  • Provide a support and challenge service to leadership teams to ensure expense targets are adhered to

  • Actively contribute to or lead cross business projects that deliver defined business improvements e.g. cost reduction programmes

  • Work directly with our leadership and directors key strategic partners to understand business performance and ensure interests are aligned

Skills, knowledge and behaviour


  • Be able to demonstrate strong analytical skills, a high level of commercial acumen and attention to detail

  • Strong relationship management skills, able to build relationships, influence and negotiate with people from all levels and departments

  • Strong communication skills at all levels of the organisation with non-finance specialists

  • Proven ability to understand/analyse complex financial information and confidently and succinctly communicate key drivers

  • Able to work on multiple different projects at once, often with rapidly changing priorities and tight deadlines

  • Positive attitude, proactive and able to drive through change

  • High-level working knowledge of operational finance systems and processes

  • Qualified or near qualified Accountant or similar experience is an advantage

  • Ideally have experience in a financial services environment

  • Advanced Excel user

  • Salary – £45,000 – £50,000 (dependent on experience)
